It's hard to believe our little baby doll is already 2 months old, it feels like just yesterday we were being released from the hospital! Now she is technically 2 and a half months old, but we're going to rewind a little so I can get on track with her monthly updates. For the sake of accuracy I'll also use the photo I took of her for her two month frame (we have one of those "the first year" frames).
Our girl is just about 2 feet long (probably a little longer), weighs about 15lbs, and wears size 0-3months or just 3 months depending on what it is (sleeper, onesie, etc.), and what brand. She's definitely more long than she is chunky but the little thighs are definitely putting on some rolls.
She can sit up if we support her back, and she can very easily turn her head from side to side in any position. She holds her head up impressively steady (for up to a minute!) any time she's even slightly on her tummy, such as being burped, tummy time, when we try to soothe her on our chests. She also does this adorable "Super Man" thing, where she tries to lift her head so strenuously that her legs stuck out straight and all tensed and she looks like she's trying to fly.
She has many days where we're pretty positive she's teething because her gums feel very sharp in three spots and we can see the teeth rigt underneath the surface. She's a drooling machine and loves to rub her mouth alllllllll over you when she's being held. She wakes up every morning and smiles for about an hour straight, and also smiles and coos anytime we talk to her or she meets someone new. She laughs and toots in her sleep and has a huge gummy smile 75% of the time she's awake.
She's eating 5oz every 3 hours during the day and will take about 6oz at 7:30-8pm and sleep until 4am (if not longer, we've already experienced her sleeping from 7pm-8am)!! She's an average napper, most days she only naps about an hour maaaaybe two total throughout the day and then sleep through the night. She loves being on the go in her stroller but isn't very fond of being in the car for more than half an hour (unless she falls asleep, which is common). She especially loves going over bumps surfaces in the stroller, she starts to smile as soon as we do.
Overall, our little honey has been soooooo much fun so far and we have an absolute ball hanging out with her, bonding and playing in any way we can when she's still so little. We love being parents more than anything, and we can't wait to see how McKenzie continues to develope her own little personality.
