Hello again lovelies!
So our babydoll McKenzie Cathryn Shea turns 3 months old today! This is such an exciting time for not only her but us as parents also. Watching her grow and develope (and become a little chatter-box) is so exciting, yet just a smidge heart breaking because she's just growing up too fast. :')
I thought I'd make a post about her sleeping/eating habits and give you some insight into what our daily lives are like.
*Disclaimer* Please note that every baby is different. If your child doesn't follow this schedule that's totally fine, I'm not a doctor or peditrician and in no way a professional on how your baby should or shouldn't be behaving. This is just to express my thoughts and maybe help expecting parents get a better idea of what to expect with a newborn.
7-8:30am: this is usually when we wake up from McKenzie fussing for food/to be changed. She will roll around and suck on her fist until someone picks her up, and if that doesn't work she'll cry. She'll eat 6oz and be changed.
9-12pm: we'll usually just hang out around this time, Logan and I will eat, shower, and get ready for the day while Kenzie plays on her Sensory Mat (which she loves).
10:30-11:30: depending on when she woke up McKenzie will usually have her second bottle of the day around now, and if we're going anywhere we'll get her dolled up after her feeding.
12-3pm: She'll usually just hang out in her rocker chair, suck on her fist, look around, kick like a madwoman, normal baby stuff, etc.
3-5pm: By 3 she's usually starting to get a smidgen grumps because she hasn't napped since 10am, it's a hard life having a love/hate relationship with sleep! We'll eat dinner and she'll eat again also (usually sooner rather than later, around 3).
5-8: She'll hang out and we'll usually spend this time cuddling or she'll be hanging out and snuggling grandma or grandpa during this time. She loves her snuggles, especially whimpering so she'll get extra kisses and conversation; have I mentioned while she's awake she talks almost non-stop?!
& finally by around 8pm she will have her last (warmed up this time) bottle of 7oz and sleep until around 4-5am if not all the way through the night. She's such a good little sleeper... usually!
Well, that concludes what happens in a usual day for us! Of course some days she'll sleep less/more, eat less/more, etc. it's by no means set in stone for what to expect every single day! We couldn't be happier with our little bundle of joy and how much she improves our lives every day.:)
Thanks for visiting!!
